Made Off with the BBC funding money in their directors pension pots!
The whole project was a farce and continues to be so with OFCOM useless as always. Hope everyone likes all the Judge Judy etc.

Well that’s a bit unfair, when the group once known as Made have tried to keep some semblance of localness.

Local TV Ltd as it's now known was sold to the owner of National World, which owns titles such as The Scotsman and Yorkshire Post through their JPI Media subsidiary.
Despite the fact Local TV no longer use studios with bulletins presented outside, they're still committed to local news compared to That's TV which is now a nostalgia channel with local news tagged on at 6pm.

It's a shame you have to watch a 30-second advert to then watch a vox-pop with some of those clips online.
I want my 30-seconds back... but I suppose they've got to make some money somehow!

What's going on with That's TV Gold? Is it gone for good now?
That's TV Xmas has now been renamed to just That's TV. No Gold dog or branding that was the difference between it and the local That's TV's. That's TV Gold on twitter is just a placeholder account and That's TV Xmas on twitter has now gone.
"From today you'll hear some new voices when you're watching UTV, as for the time being we're handing over to our colleagues at ITV, but rest assured Julian and I will be back with you as soon as possible"

Mike Read’s Heritage Chart now has a TV show which is going out on lots of the local channels, namely the former Made network and a few others. It’s also meant to be on Talking Pictures soon. Good to see some non-news programming returning that isn’t just CBS simulcasts.

If Local TV was doing it's job that would be fine as a Sunday Evening filler. As it isn't though it just typifies everything wrong with the network.

Indeed. On a similar note That’s TV announced today that it will be showing Russ Abbot’s Madhouse soon. Shame they can’t put more effort into their local output than a 40 year old ITV repeat, but that’s the system we still have. If they want to operate a near to non-local service with nothing but ancient repeats then fine, but it should not hold Channel 7 on Freeview for the privilege of having a tiny amount of local programming.

I noticed That's TV Gold has started showing Monty Python's Flying Circus, which the EPG description claims is the first time it's been on Freeview this century.
