Apparently there were some photos of the inside on the LWT staffers Facebook group too but for obvious reasons I can't see that, though not sure I want to!
I hadn't realised that (accoridng to the comments on that Twitter thread) the owners didn't have permission for the new development, or to demolish it yet

There's no way the council are going to suddenly say that it's all got to be restored back to working TV studios. It's really just a question of what replaces it, and the proposed building hasn't gone down well. I don't think that ITVs original proposals were ever decided on, if they had have been then presumably the current owners would presumably would have had permission to demolish. Incidently I think had ITV continued with their original plan, and it had gone to schedule (unlikely considering what's happened since) I think they would have been returning to the site soon. The building has had a long stay of execution... and ITV did very well selling pre-covid

I assume it'll either be new homes or offices with a cultural element.

There is the Observer’s archicture crtic's take on the proposed new building at the LWT site.
I think it is fair to conclude that he is not a fan. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...a-building

Looks like a 60's monstrosity due for demolition, not something being presented to planning in the 21st century. Nowhere near as nice as the original redevelopment plansa were either.

For some reason I thought this was already public knowledge, but ITV have announced today that they're combining their London offices at White City, including taking over three floors of the Broadcast Centre.

It actually was publicly announced last year but the move started today which is probably why this new press release has come out. Waterhouse Square will completely close next week while Gray's Inn will shut in Spring 2023. Broadcast Centre now has what might well be a unique set up of having a BBC branded reception right next to an ITV branded one. Any regional examples of this?

Wasn't Waterhouse Square always meant to be temporary though?

Can someone tell me, will ITN be moving out of Grays Inn Road? Someone here said it shuts in 2023, so where will ITV News move?
