This will pave the way for future guest appearances on Good Morning Britain, no doubt.

This forum needs to get really over Piers ever returning to GMB in any way, shape or form!

I wouldn’t rule him out of doing a paper review on GMB once a week. It would allow him free publicity for his talkTV programme and GMB would have publicity for his appearances without him appearing to represent the views of the programme.

Which studio is this being broadcast from today?

I thought it would be from the studio shown in the photo embedded in the Tweet posted at the top of the thread.

It is, that’s studio 54D.

They are using the big screen in 54D in a similar fashion to Newsnight for the first time during the Sunday Morning programme, Chris Mason is at the wall

They got the framing wrong in Salford you could see the screen and the remote controls when Katherine was reading out the news.

Yes they fixed this during the first news item but surprised this wasn't sorted before output. It was presumably visible to Salford and London.

Indeed, looked a bit messy.

It was great to see Piers on screen this morning and I quite like his friendship with Sophie.

It bothers me that the backdrop for the Marr (as was) news bulletins has *still* never been updated to remove the foreground "swooshes", years after they ceased to be strictly on-brand.

Considering that it's just a CGI image on a screen, rather than anything physically real, the lack of an update is disappointing to say the least.

Am I the only one that thinks, although this looks messy, it actually looks *more* like a window onto a newsroom with the framing in shot?
