Does anyone know what happened to Sally Taylor? Is she still off from her illness back in April? I do hope she is okay and returns.

Reminds me of Summer 1983 (or was it 84 ?) when South Today was also shown in the (then ) London+SE region

The merged London/South/South East bulletin came from Tunbridge Wells. It used generic BBC News astons.

The title card should’ve had a mixture of place names from the 3 regions. like Tunbridge Wells, Southampton, Croydon, Weymouth etc etc.

Does anyone know why Southampton (and London come to that) were off air?

Should have gone for London Plus!
That tweet from BBC South didn't give a specific reason but assuming COVID and that they have been able to cover the evening shift. Same for BBC London, I'd imagine. Or it may even have been a conscious choice to protect other staff at New Broadcasting House as an outbreak may put some of the national services at risk.

It’s strange how London always seems to be effected. Up north I’m not even sure if we’ve had a joint Leeds and Hull bulletin at a time when they aren’t joint already
