Very sad to hear this. I always thought she came across as very genuine and relatable on air, something I don’t think you could say about that many of her contemporaries.

I worked with Janice, off and on, for the 4 years she was at BBC Wales, and she really was the sweetest, kindest person who had the happy knack of making the people she talked to feel special (I speak from experience!) A wonderful, warm, witty person and terrific broadcaster, who will be very much missed by her colleagues and audience, as well as her family and friends, of course. So lucky to have known her, even for a relatively short period of time.
