Rosie has been covering Breakfast from 6am then serves as the main newsreader until 4pm, and today Patrick did To the Point from 9am and is now covering for Dan on Tonight Live until 11pm.

Wonder if any of them are in a union.

Quite a few technical mishaps creeping back in again. The 11pm bulletin had to be abandoned due to a mute Polly M. Mark Dolan would perhaps smugly remind us they’re a start-up to rebut any criticism, but it feels like they’re slipping back to old ways.

The Great British Breakfast was noticeably lighter this morning with no culture wars material. Patrick and Alex did a wrapping presents challenge and two people were together reviewing the papers.

Patrick is much better with Alex than he is with Mercy Muroki.

The People’s Question Time could be the apex of where the new radio focus meets the TV channel: are we about to see a televised phone-in??!

It's nothing new. Jeremy Vine (nee The Wright Stuff) have been doing phone-ins for years.

Before that Open Air and after that there was a BBC show called Talkabout.

Plus Sky Sports did them for years.

Another decent breakfast show this morning from Patrick and Alex. Not seen Alex this animated since she worked with Simon McCoy.

I think they've missed a trick here by not giving them breakfast and going full on fluff instead of blowing it on Eamonn Holmes.

GB News played the Queen's Christmas Message at 15:00 - interestingly with the ticker and the other on-screen graphics on the output, which partially obscured the ITN credit at the end. Felt a bit odd when it is normally played out clean on other channels at 3 (although typically it has channel graphics on later runs on Sky News, say).

Sorry to be a killjoy but not sure the wearing of Xmas jumpers on screen does much to enhance credibility. Jarring to see Tom Harwood reading out the death of Desmond Tutu while dressed like he’s going to sing Little Donkey at the school carol concert

Looking at the schedule for the 8th January, the Saturday Morning Live show is now called 'Saturday Selection' and Alistair Stewart's show is cut to two hours although Darren Grimes doesn't start that day meaning two hours of repeats including a new 'Best Of The Briefing' show at 2pm.
