I wonder why they felt that the orange had to change but the bright yellow logo was fine to remain.
Are Susanna and Kate not expected to wear black during the mourning period ?

There’s only a limited amount of black clothing you can choose so many presenters go with darker colours instead.

If they changed the clock text from white to 'GMB gold', I think that all-blue look could be nice generally.
Looks quite clean, the clock and ticker being the same colour, and the gold would still make the clock stand out against the white ticker text.
"Good evening. Dull, grey, cold, miserable - and that's just me. The weather hasn't been great, either."
None of this is remotely new, but watching those opening headlines etc, GMB is just a bit of a husk of a show now without Piers (and I wasn’t even a huge fan). The voiceover also completely lacks the impact of the previous version. Just sounds forced with the guy unsure about whether to be cheerful or have impact, so tries to do both and somehow does neither too
I actually prefer it without Piers, it made me realised how his rants made the show 'stressy'. But of course, to his credit, it did make the headlines, but there's no off switch.
I haven't watched much since Piers left (doesn't seem worth getting up early for), but I suppose it depends on individual taste.
Out of interest, does anybody know if the set designer of Tenable is the same designer who did the new MegaDesk on GMB ? Just curious as the back element of the desk behind the presenters (replacing the credenza) is very similar to the background piece behind where the contestants sit on Tenable.

When I once pulled an all-nighter doing college work before Piers left, I watched the programme (on a day he wasn't presenting, it was Ben and Kate IIRC), and watched for about 90-120 minutes before I was too tired. Another time I watched on a day Piers was presenting - could barely stomach 25 minutes, possibly because I wasn't expecting him (he was technically a newscaster) to be giving his opinions like they're nibbles at a party.
Anyway, bringing it to presentation, I have to say the more sombre graphics do look really nice, although I think (unlike the standard ITV News graphics) the normal colour pallet, for me, works well too - not sure why.
