Age of Outrage spoof presentation

Mentioned this in the BBC One thread but some real corkers in terms of pretend graphics throughout the series. All available on iPlayer now.

They're both women and that trumps regionality; ITV guidelines

Feels like one of those cases where satire's no more bizarre than reality right now!

I even saw a fake ITV ECP at the end of the programme, which said ''Dickinson's Meal Deal''!

Those BBC News graphics are scarily realistic, isn't there a stipulation that it must be distinguished that it isn't an actual news broadcast?
Also known as "Allanbuzzy" on other places.

iox - the creator capital

Just took a look on iPlayer and these are really nicely done - the ITV ECP even animated correctly and they did the credits for this particular episode following the ITV guidelines, seemingly right down to the font!

Firstly satire usually has the licence to be somewhat realistic, but secondly those rules have long gone out of the window. Dramas used to use fictionalised news programmes and hence graphics as standard but now almost always use the familar graphics of the BBC or ITV and often their presenters too.

Some classic continuity in there too

I won't spoil, but I think Episode 3 has the best ECP.

Quite clever that they got Matt Rosser - a bone fide BBC Wales announcer - to do the voice on those spoof Oneness bits. He now manages the whole operation so he's not heard on air so often, so less likely to introduce the show than if say Al Dupres had done it.
Write that down in your copybook now

And BBC Wales of course introduced Oneness to us by longing for the balloon idents.

I rather have a three spoof idents with the new BBC One logo. That version should become more good than this.

What on earth are you talking about?

Missing the point completely. That said though it highlights generally speaking when you're spoofing idents you need to be spoofing what is in use currently rather than what has been repaced weeks before airing.

I take it the entire series is up on the iPlayer then - the pilot was quite good so I'll take a look this week. Seemed to have a fairly poor slot at 11.25pm on a Friday night on the linear channel, but then again I suspect post-Graham Norton is probably better than 10.35pm earlier in the week.
