Considering they had a SE story in the running order and the weather was pan-regional, it appears to be pre-planned.

There may well have been engineering work at TW over the weekend, HD upgrades and all that.... (NO I'm not suggesting anything visible on screen soon) ?
Due to the train crash in Salisbury. ITV News Meridian pulled the GWR weather sponsorship as it was a GWR train involved.
A reliable poster on DS is reporting tonight's regional BBC tea time news was a combined, South/South East/Oxford one !

Sounds like Southampton could be undergoing engineering work this weekend then. We all should know why of course 8-)
Very unusual. Normally, they’d use Oxford when Southampton is out of action. Southampton can be opted remotely from the Oxford gallery, so there’s no need for Southampton to be involved, as far as I’m aware. Wonder where Politics South will come from tomorrow?

Aren't the sunday politicals usually pre-recorded on a Friday? If so, I imagine it will come from Southampton regardless of any technical work over the weekend.

If the studio and more importantly the gallery is shut down, they won't be able to play it out from there. It'll have to be played out from somewhere else. It'll be almost impossible to work out from where of course,

So that's the old South East region without London... they should have called the bulletin 'Minus London' as a tribute to their regional programme from the 80s Big Grin
Looks as normal from Southampton, but the anno into the programme referred to ‘Sunday Politics’.

It was recorded at Southampton, but we don't where it was played out from today?
