I don’t mind that it’s a slow process because I think that helps the BBC to do this relatively subtly and avoid the usual attacks. I’d imagine that they’re delighted “bbcrebrand” or “defundthebbc” weren’t trending yesterday. Presumably that’s also factored into the shift to a tweaked logo, rather than a radically new one.

BBC iPlayer has an update. Well on iOS at least, still using the old icon tho.

I think we can't say that an update means there will be a new icon/refresh of the app just yet.
They're both women and that trumps regionality; ITV guidelines
