Just a suggestion, but it might make sense for Rob or a moderator to close this thread and merge it into (and reopen!) the existing thread, considering that nothing has changed on BBC News today, and it likely isn't set to until the spring.

Did I miss something or did all [mention]Rob[/mention] work go down the pan? I’m not seeing a thread of BBC rebrand anywhere???

The rebrand threads have been merged into the rest of the forum. I'm guessing because the rebrand has been less of a bang and more of a fizzle.

Talking of slow BBC rebrands I know it took 7 years for a box to make it on to the BBC News intros, but did they use it on trailers before then?

If they go for the split design I could see that actually working well for BBC News - pretty much accommodates any news programme name and could even allow for the on screen return of the "One o'clock News" etc. branding, not that I think they'd go there.

Not to beat a dead horse here, but yes the BBC News web header is a glaring issue that warrants fixing asap.

The most trusted and most viewed news source in the UK displaying two different logos on TV vs web, the latter of which is completely incorrect. Unprofessional and unjustifiable.

I can't think of a department where brand consistency across platforms is more important, in the digital world we find ourselves in. And this has been an unresolved issue since mid-2019.

Bbc news is an odd one world service tv stations haven’t even bothered, the English services use the old logo with Reith serif bold, the website uses the new bbc logo with gill sans it’s a horror show really,
