Yeah, going over to the BBC website there’s still the Gill blocks and over on my app store there’s no pending updates for anything related to the BBC.

Still very early in the morning. Online staff most likely haven’t come in yet. I’d probably wait until later on in the day to see if there’s any changes.

Logos are beginning to change across social media.

BBC One / Two and the main BBC account updated on Twitter. BBC account updated on Instagram.

Highly amusing to me that the iPlayer logo has been replaced by "iPLAYER" written out in the corporate font. Just like it would have been in the "boring" '97 rebrand.

Yeah, I think they could've given iPlayer a little more personality in the same why they have done with all of the different BBC Studio divisions...

The! BBC Twitter account has the new logo and as expected the letters are far too small to be unreadable on my phone

The others are much worse. They look terrible

The BBC One profile image on Facebook & Twitter is a very odd colour compared to the TV presentation package. It would've been nicer if they used the gradient background behind the BBC ONE logo.

I don't think the BBC sees the issues with smallness of the readability. So long as the public sees it as 3 blocks, then it's the BBC, if all else.
Also known as "Allanbuzzy" on other places.

Hmmm think it looks like a retrograde step back to the 90s with blocky logos in tiny resolutions. One of the problems the 1997 logo was meant to fix.

They're not blocks, they're squares

I do actually like the new logo, I just think it needs to be a bit bigger on the social media icons. Especially if the focus is to emphasise the BBC part.

I have noticed a few senior technology leaders (e.g. Head of Digital, Head of iPlayer) have left the BBC Technology department over recent months (pushed out by newcomers undertaking reorganisations I suspect) and there have been a lot of staff redundancies in some technology teams over the past year... I wonder if the digital brand rollout is impacted by this?

Case in point - BBC iPlayer is using the old BBC logo in the top left, whilst the idents have the new BBC logo in top middle. I guess most people won't notice, but to me, that stands out as a mess.

The new logo is now on some areas of the BBC site. Same navigation bar as before

Notable places where the old logo stays:
BBC News homepage (but it's there on articles!)
BBC Weather
BBC iPlayer homepage

I'd assume it's because they're using legacy (old) site components

EDIT: Never mind, all fixed. New logo on everything.

BBC News still has Gill Sans header

Well, good thing there’s a new logo on that navbar now! Big Grin
