Two presenters of The View (Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro) have tested positive for Covid just moments before interviewing VP Kamala Harris LIVE.

Sunny and Ana have been removed from the set. Joy Behar will continue to present and interview VP Harris solo.


In the wider sense, I’m liking the new, larger desk and city backdrop now adopted by the show. The set looks fresh and sharp these days.

In the wider sense, I’m liking the new, larger desk and city backdrop now adopted by the show. The set looks fresh and sharp these days.

Quick correction: Joy & Sara Haines continued on as a duo and interviewed VP Harris. Not quite the long interview it was built to be - but I suppose that's the way LIVE TV works especially with the situation they've had on-set! (Loved the impromptu mayhem of the rejigging and Joy's quips, also the impromptu audience Q&A).

Hoping that they get negative results if they end up getting tested after the show. Bit of an interesting and scary situation. Gonna be interesting Monday, especially if Whoopi is back (as she's still out with sciatica).

Set wise, I'm also digging the larger desk and city backdrop. I almost just released the addition of silver to their colour scheme is because you would associate silver for the 25th Anniversary of an event. Bit of a dumb moment for sure!

The show is immeasurably better since they've returned to the studio, but even though she's back in the studio, Whoopi is still phoning it in. She couldn't make it more obvious that she doesn't want to be there anymore.

I don't see it mentioned anywhere (Twitter or any of the articles) about why they were actually on the set if they were waiting on a test result?

Even so. She seems so bored. It's reported she's on a $6 million salary for a few hours a day so perhaps she feels it's a job she can't refuse.

Rather bizarre situation - I'd thought any tests would be completed before the show started filming and if they had symptoms, they wouldn't have been on the show to start with until they had tested.

Update to the situation - as of writing: Ana's tested negative on two tests (antigen/PCR); awaiting results of third tests before flying to Miami.
