Watching Breakfast this morning and guessing it is a natural reaction for many presenters to raise their voices when talking to an interviewee in the monitor or camera at the other side of the studio. Perhaps someone should have word.

Live with Lucy Hockings, Impact with Yalda Hakim and Global with Matthew Amroliwala are all back on Monday! Could this mean the return of Newsroom & Afternoon Live on the News Channel (UK)?
It must signal something at least. Branding has slowly been returning recently and I'm ready to view the schedules for both news channels for any changes coming.

Not only was it always an odd choice for them to ditch the BBC News brand for two entirely generic programme titles, but neither were presentationally interesting either.

Yeah, the music was nice, but nothing special - which is more than can be said for the titles and graphics. They were both basically just attempts to try and make rolling news more appointment-to-view, which, of course, misunderstands the entire purpose of a rolling news channel. There were a few bespoke segments - such as the around the regions bit on Afternoon Live - but mostly they were just rebadged standard BBC News channel fare, albeit ditching the BBC News name for some unclear reason.

Not wishing to become rota-esque, but can anyone confirm the name of the presenter who led the Channel/World simulcast yesterday morning around 9am UK time? She did not name check herself at any stage and neither did her name appear on screen.
It’s the first time I’ve seen this particular presenter on World News. (She was presenting from Studio E). Thanks.
