God, I loved that era of Channel 4 idents - truly classy and imaginative.
Not quite sure you could have an April Fools for Oneness (insert joke here)
The best April Fools with Oneness I could think of is BBC One announcing a new ident package and on the day of launch of supposed ident package (which would be April 1st) they say April Fools and announce that they are keeping Oneness.

At first, I loved those idents. But I slowly started to feel like they were being over-saturated, it got to the point where by 2015 (the final year of those idents) I was actually asking myself "Are these ever gonna go away?", then one late September at 9pm, one of the clock idents play, I'm sitting on my couch saying "Something new?", and then the CA announces that this is a new package and to stay tuned for the commercial breaks. So I actually sat through Educating Cardiff just to watch whatever they had and I still remember my reactions to each of the idents played in the breaks. I watched all of those idents played in the commercials, and all I could say was "Well the Mining and Waterfall ones were great but the Fly one, was too weird." Those ones got repetitive MUCH quicker than the last set. But after only two years in use the Giant Four man appeared. They were fine at first, but those also got repetitive WAY quicker than the 2004 - 2015 set. I really think they should introduce more idents for that set.

Coronation Street always used to post an annual April Fools prank, such as the theme tune being re-recorded with lyrics by Shayne Ward, or the fact the entire back catalogue of episodes was being released in one (rather large) DVD box set, but I think because of obvious reasons last year they never got opportunity to create anything.
we don't need an April Fools for oneness, the branding is already a joke lol
I remember VH1's "Chav My Motor" which they were trailing for weeks.

Though the fact the reveal that it was an April Fool took place at midday (with a morning of "chav" music leading up to it) means many people would have missed it. Not sure the whole thing worked as well as the idea seemed in their heads, trailing a programme for weeks then the reveal it was a joke happening at a time most viewers wouldn't have been watching.
Apparently this was in 2005, I didn't realise it was that long ago!
I think they did a "ginger day" one year too, certainly one music channel did, might have been VH1 Classic rather than VH1 proper. And Magic played Christmas music one year too.
