Eamonn has posted on Twitter a few hours ago to say he’s been admitted to hospital due to chronic pain.
With him and Ruth supposed to be taking up the reins again from Monday for the Easter holidays - we could well be seeing a last minute stand in for Eamonn or maybe even Ruth as well. I wonder if Richard and Judy are still on standby?

I saw that tweet earlier - he referred to feeling "pain like [he's] never experienced in [his] life".
Sounds awful - I wish him a full and speedy recovery.
"Good evening. Dull, grey, cold, miserable - and that's just me. The weather hasn't been great, either."

He has been trending on Twitter for the last couple of hours. People are sending him lovely get well messages.
I hope he will be healthy enough to return to This Morning after the holiday weekend.
Get well soon, wonderful Eamonn!

Also worth noting he tweeted earlier they were only presenting for a week, which is surprising as they usually do the two over Easter.

Running late so will apparently get it after the weather.
So nothing presentation/tv related. Eamonn’s going to be a grandad.

He’s a very good hype machine. His name/the show is trending on Twitter today. He got people talking at least.
The interesting way it was worded ("I don't want you all in tears", "I hope you will be happy for me") made people think "oh, what could
this be - is it good news, it is bad news...?!" Think this ambiguity helped pique folks' interest. Many congratulations to him on the news in any case.

It’s good news for Eamonn although It’s weird that when I saw that post yesterday, my first thought was he was going to be a grandfather given he does have four adult children.
