You're welcome. AFAIK it never happened.
Hahaha, I love how that thread just immediately descends into forum in-jokes. I particularly loved Whataday's idea that a TV company should give us a guided tour of their studios on account of our "valued contribution to the television industry" Big Grin

Now the archive is online, I wonder how many times I'll accidentally head back there and think to myself 'blimey, that post has been on the front page for AGES!' until it registers that the site is now static!
It's interesting to note that the tooted "replacements" for TV Forum that were mentioned here:
https://tvforum.uk/forums/post1301035#post-1301035

We're on one of them now, one of the others doesn't work at all, one launched but is deader than the dodo activity wise and the other one claims to have been launching soon for the last six weeks. The other addition tried to be clever off the joke post made by BillyH , and failed miserably it would seem.

I think TVLF was always going to be the natural successor - and it certainly hasn't disappointed, I'm genuinely finding it hard to think of things that Rob could improve on.
<t>Goodbye TVF. Hello TVLF.</t>

Don't worry... I'll find something. Wink

Excellent. It's fitting I reckon that a founding member got the last post in before the site closed, as opposed to somebody who signed up just to say hey and sorry it's going.
Thanks Neil - I'm chuffed I managed to get the last post in. I didn't plan to - I just happened to be browsing the site when the 90 second countdown appeared and I decided to try one last tribute to TVF. I just managed to press the submit button as the screen blurred, so I honestly didn't think it had gone through. I'm very chuffed it did, though. With being there from the very start in 2001, it feels like I've closed the loop nicely!

Oh, and I did turn out the lights as I left in case anyone's wondering.
How fitting it was itsrobert who made the last post. Like it came full circle, in a way.

Did you cancel the milk and the newspaper? Big Grin

Congratulations itsrobert for making the final post on TV Forum, and I can only echo what everybody else has said, the fact that a founding member wrote the last post, is indeed a circle that closed!

Damn, knew we were missing something:

I've had an online equivalent of a rummage in the old place. Notable how some earth shattering events especially early BT Sport related ones attracted not much conversation, the BT grabbing PL rights thread really isn't that long. Conversely the UEFACLEL deal one is longer. One thing though is how civilised it was in the early days. Onwards.

Thankfully, I did cancel those and I put a stack of old papers from the newspaper rack in the recycling bin. Just a few old BBC Ariel magazines and the odd TVS Archive paper.
