Countdowns getting a refresh it seems:

Nah, it’s just an insert. I think replacing Katty Kay who was still in the countdown filler last week.

As far as I'm aware, Katty is still on the filler.

If they've removed her from the countdown and replaced her with Miriam, then surely they'd have edited the filler at the same time. Haven't seen it broadcast since last week.
Watched the countdown into 10pm last night and Maryam seems to have replaced Alastair Leathead.

You are aware the term is being used by every media outlet in the land.
That doesn’t make it right. It’s an awful word.
It's just lazy journalism reducing a complex issue to one made up word.

Quite surprised BBC2 is simulcasting for 3 hours each morning during the Olympics- usually in this situation they'd take the BBC1 daytime shows, as they have in the afternoon. I could understand the 9am hour given the lack of Breakfast but it is really just lazy, depressing, schedule filling.

Don't you mean four? they are also taking half an hour to an hour of world at 6am as well
Sorry if this has already been discussed, but is there any reason why BBC Parliament is re-broadcasting the BBC News Channel?

I noticed studio C is being used from 20:30-22:00 this week and the news channel is still taking the whole 90 minutes of outside source. Is this still one of the consequences of the ‘pingdemic’?

Probably. Hopefully Newsday being shown at 23:00 is also a result

There is a young lady who hosted the sports bulletins at 10.50pm and 11.50pm last night and tonight. She didn't namecheck herself at the start of the bulletin, but her name is Mimi (as acknowledged by Sarah Mulkerrins). Anyone know anything about her?
