Only if he wants him and the channel to be fined!

I guess he could ask to present it from home, then smoke away like Rod Liddle does every time he appears Tongue

I guess it says something about GB News that they're basically the only place on TV now where they do let contributors smoke on screen!

Goodness the presentation still looks utterly ghastly. The set still looks incredibly dark (and the screens only highlight this further) and frankly like the sort of fake TV bulletin you might get in a movie.

And demoting Nana Akkua (one of the few presenters positively received) from primetimes to weekend afternoons - let's not be ridiculous and pretend it's a promotion - and replacing her with Mark Dolan of all people really is damning of the channel.

Indeed, being replaced by yet another talkRADIO presenter who replaced Wootton at drive on that station says it all. Farage of course is ex LBC. Who next? James Whale?

I do not know what your watching but the 1080p quality on astra is fine, looks crisp and not dark at all, whereas freeview is low quality and lipsync issues. so it really all depends on what platform you watch
I think they’re referring to the actual set design. At least the dark bits look they’re meant to be dark unlike the ITV regional news sets.
Those complaining about the set design, are after 5 weeks of moaning are only going to keep on moaning. If you hated it before it went on air, you will hate it now it's trying something else.

I for one think that they are significantly improving, and that is a good thing for a television channel. Personally, I think if you are not commenting on the channel's output, then you should be hit with the ban-hammer.

This is a forum for television presentation after all, and not your views.

Sooooo we should talk about the output, but not about the set that you see on the output, unless it’s to say it’s the most amazingist set on the bestest channel ever?

Views on presentation are fine. Although if they don't add to the discussion best left unsaid.

This is is new set which does indeed have dark bits which is unusual. Although, I actually like the fact the sets are a bit different to the normal personally.

The beer-drinking gimmick has certainly worked! We’re all talking about it.

The fact that this new thread has already reached fourteen pages is testament to the intrigue GB News continues to render.

Although it hasn’t yet reached the six months decision time, I wouldn’t be surprised if GBN actually *does* do a TV-am and becomes popular down the line (for the right reasons).

And will make stars out of relative unknowns.

I wonder why brazier is not using the new set? or is this specially for farage only?
I thought the new set looked much better, the lighting levels are far higher and it actually looks like a set rather than a kitchen or living room.

It reminds me a bit of the Britain's got talent set, only if they had one judge and no buzzer and no budget. They might have well been better off just building a green screen studio set. They'd be able to do their own weather then too.
May_Dupname! How long has it taken for me to “get” your user name! I just assumed you were French.

Perhaps you are.........

Thanks for posting the link, Londoner.

I don't think GB News would be their cup of tea anyway even if it were a news channel.

And it's not a news channel.

I think we'd both agree that it's a strange hybrid of Loose Women/Fox/CNN/MSNBC talking heads/LBC/Times Radio.
