I like Simon's Good News round up... they at least seem to manage to get a series of images/videos on screen with credits & no technical issues?

The south-east reporter's guest seems to be wearing one of the reporter's AirPods for talkback, which doesn't seem very hygienic or COVID-safe

The irony of this reporter talking about wedding venues having no limit on how many can be there but they must be socially distanced - whilst she is stood right next to the man she's interviewing using her iPhone for the sound, Clearly GB News does not do social distancing

Looks like one of the regional presenters is using her iPhone to capture the sound - her guest has one AirPod in and she has the other. However, the sound’s actually in sync, so it’s progress on yesterday.
I think one of my biggest criticisms of the pres is the lack of movement or change in the lower thirds. “GB NEWS NATIONWIDE” for example doesn’t update to show particular stories or even regions.

I was a little shocked by that intro. As has been said, the South East reporter was interviewing Craig, a manager of a wedding venue that has obviously been severely impacted by Covid restrictions.
Alex introduced the reporter as saying "Oooh, Ellie, you've got a friend with you! Who've you been chatting up?!" I'm at a loss...

Has anything actually been said about the social distancing / COVID measures being taken by GB News?
We've obviously spent the last 16 odd months watching things look a bit different. GMB, This Morning, Loose Women & The One Show are still practicing distancing on a daily basis and have made set changes to accommodate this. Whereas you watch any of the GB News output and you'd think it was from a post-COVID world!?

Thing is what the reporters are often talking about is 'a guy in a pub said', 'I spoke to and he/she said this', 'I heard this from so and so'. It's the equivalent of classroom gossip. The Ipswich cross has just featured a pre-recorded interview clip of a guest AND some B roll which is progress at least.

How professional does this sound. They get a email asking why there are no reports from the South East and Simon says we have just appointed a reporter for the South East so we're on it. Why the heck did they not recruit this person before launching?
Michelle's delivery is so bad. She does not pause between headlines and its very stilted. I think part of that is because of the way the autocue is moving (look in the glass behind her), its not smooth and continuously moving as she speaks but seems to move up in chunks as someone scrolls a mouse maybe

To be fair, that 1750 regional round-up was the most professional yet. The NI correspondent and East of England reporters both had VTs to use in the middle of their lives, while Balvinder did a comprehensive live on Covid concerns in Birmimgham.
