This Morning

Apologies if there is a this morning topic...Couldn't see one.

Just found this clip from earlier this month with a fan's version of the theme song. Personally, I prefer it over the official version!

Eamonn has posted on Twitter a few hours ago to say he’s been admitted to hospital due to chronic pain.

With him and Ruth supposed to be taking up the reins again from Monday for the Easter holidays - we could well be seeing a last minute stand in for Eamonn or maybe even Ruth as well. I wonder if Richard and Judy are still on standby?

I saw that tweet earlier - he referred to feeling "pain like [he's] never experienced in [his] life".
Sounds awful - I wish him a full and speedy recovery.
"Good evening. Dull, grey, cold, miserable - and that's just me. The weather hasn't been great, either."

He has been trending on Twitter for the last couple of hours. People are sending him lovely get well messages.

I hope he will be healthy enough to return to This Morning after the holiday weekend.

Get well soon, wonderful Eamonn!

Also worth noting he tweeted earlier they were only presenting for a week, which is surprising as they usually do the two over Easter.

Yes, Eamonn and Ruth now have a lot less time on air, unfortunately, since the contract changes that began in January. Sad

Eamonn is still determined to be at work next week. Good on him!

It's 5 years since his double hip replacement. Looking at this clip from then, I wonder if This Morning will get a graphics refresh this year... the current look has been used since 2015, only with minor tweaks since. It still looks good though, overall.

Eamonn’s announcement shortly does seem to be quite big - Eamonn does seem quite solemn about it - whatever it is he’s announcing.

Running late so will apparently get it after the weather.

So nothing presentation/tv related. Eamonn’s going to be a grandad.

Big Grin He’s a very good hype machine. His name/the show is trending on Twitter today. He got people talking at least.

The interesting way it was worded ("I don't want you all in tears", "I hope you will be happy for me") made people think "oh, what could this be - is it good news, it is bad news...?!" Think this ambiguity helped pique folks' interest. Many congratulations to him on the news in any case.

It’s good news for Eamonn although It’s weird that when I saw that post yesterday, my first thought was he was going to be a grandfather given he does have four adult children.

Hmmm I wonder?
then TM Summer from June onwards?
I wonder if this means that Phil & Holly will take some of June off this year. I think that it'll be interesting to see how this TM Summer will work Since Eamonn and Ruth only Present on Holidays now

From Eamonn overshadowing the show with.... what some people are saying.... non-news.... to a time that This Morning made the headlines without even trying.

A YouTuber has uploaded the full programme of the day after when Judy stood in front of millions of viewers in just her bra at the NTA’s in 2000.

The same channel has uploaded quite a few old This Morning episodes with Richard & Judy, Fern & John and Fern & Phillip. There’s some real gems in there so worth a delve.
