GB News: Launch
This is going to be talked about in the same conversations as the 1989 Brits and 1991 Eurovision.

He wasn't impressed with the "who would you hire and fire?" question. He looks like he has the hump!
Been watching for 40 minutes and its comedy gold...

Nigel Farage, digs at the BBC and "mainstream" media, taking the knee, the Labour party, woke, lockdowns are undemocratic etc etc.

Its all very patronising for me, their slogan is patronising, the whole thing is. And I (we) have been told to not believe that this channel will be a narrow minded one. This entire hour has proven exactly that.

It's definitely 50i on broadcast TV. Freeview and Virgin, at least.

talkRADIO has nothing to fear. I used to really slag off talkRADIO's video quality and studio design. I now take it all back and I apologise to them.
I wonder if we will ever hear gallery/production talkback
It’s definitely 50i well the graphics are at least I don’t know about the cameras though, looks like it’s 30p.
It seems to be a theme that the presenters mic is hitting PPM5+ (in old language) but all the guests/VT's get nowhere near that. The sound generally is very muffled and low-fi. Together with the lighting shambles the whole thing comes across very poorly technically.
This interview is very awkward.
Alan Sugar seems to be getting more and more pissed off the longer this segment continues.
Sugar has the diesel (hump) for sure. Forgive the slang but Mr Sugar is from those parts.
This is a painful watch. Dan just asked Lord Sugar if he has taken the knee, followed back by the reply “why would I take the knee? What a stupid question” :?

We did hear a whisper when the first mic wasn't working. It was reminiscent of the whispering over the breakdown slide in the live episode of Inside Number 9
GB News needed more energy in the first two hours, and then they bring on Lord Sugar who has taken a very flat two hour opener, and totally buried it into the ground even more
"Where would I take the knee, in Sainsbury's ?"

Thank you Lord Sugar, for making tonight enjoyable for a couple of seconds.
