do we know when the forum will return as a read only?
Anyone else still by habit going onto TVF, hoping its gonna be there.....then met with the closed page. This habit is gonna take a while to break.
"From today you'll hear some new voices when you're watching UTV, as for the time being we're handing over to our colleagues at ITV, but rest assured Julian and I will be back with you as soon as possible"

Just caught up with how TVF closed. A very fitting ending from Asa, lucky I posted my final post early!

On the plus side, getting to hear Redvers Kyle's voice multiple times a day is no bad thing.
I completely missed the countdown, but what a great send off to the website.
A great forum had a great exit.
Speaking of TV Forum, remember my old and very bad mocks on TVF?
God, they were awful.

Not sure but I won't be posting any mocks on here.

I would advise you to take a look at the comments left on the current collection of mocks in The Gallery. I think it'll put you at ease a little bit. There's nothing but fair, useful responses. You may have had a bad experience in the past and I'm sorry if that was the case but don't let bad past experiences colour your future. This is a new site, overseen by a new moderation team, and there's been nothing but good, constructive feedback so far.

I've happily switched. As great as TVF was, it was definitely time for a fresh start. That said, what to keep and what to change is never easy but O genuinely believe Rob has the balance correct.
If anyone feels like a bit of nostalgia, someone has (or a computer automatically has) archived a lot of the last day of TVForum on archive.org/web - if you click on one of the snapshots from 31st March, some of the thread links are also snapshotted/archived and work.
Was just looking through Web Archive for something else and thought I'd try it out - just incase you want to look back on some posts (if the link is snapshotted/archived) whilst the Forum's still being converted into an official archive.
