The Masked Dancer

But, I expect BGT will be back in the May Half Term week next year. So if this is a 1 series and done for ITV then no real harm done? If it does pick up, could it be suitable for summer next year? I know we’ve got the Euros very soon but seeing as they’ve moved a Voice Kids to December, I’m not sure what Saturday night shows they’ve got planned for summer 2021.
I'd definitely go with the summer option for The Masked Dancer series 2.

As much as we question this airing across a week it is nice to have some entertainment on weeknights - even if it is one week only.

They're both women and that trumps regionality; ITV guidelines

If you’re going to use spoiler tags, at least reveal the name!

Edit: Oh I assumed it was a music act called XX, that I’d never heard of. Which would made my joke make sense.

I see you’re just highlighting the article template faux pas.

Looks like someone published the pre-reveal template by accident.

I did wonder if XX was some rapper I've never heard of or something at first though. I hadn't heard of two of the previous three reveals after all.

I was going to say, I don’t think all 3 members of the XX would have fitted in that suit.

There's a lot of criticism about the comission The Masked Dancer, I actually like the series, it still has the funny/feel good factor of the main series.

Understandably, It does use the same format and it isn't obvious to tell who the dancer is, but I think a lot of people are being more concerned about the finer details of the series rather than looking at the picture overall.

Everyone has an opinion and that's completely fine, but for those who are asking "oh why did this get commissioned" I have to ask you this, where were you when the series got announced?

To be fair, there were people, myself included, who were sceptical and made that clear when the show was announced. I still am not a fan but can understand why it was commissioned.

Not sure if ratings picked up earlier this week but a few episodes in now it is much more enjoyable now you think you have more of an idea of who's who, even if you are completely wrong. Two good reveals tonight.

The reveals are a lot better when you have no clue who it is, unlike Singer where by now many had been worked out. Given there was no audience in the studio at all for this I expect it's been a lot better for keeping the reveals hidden without leaks.

I agree, I think the reveals are a lot better in the case as the most of the reveals in Singer were like "Ah, I already figured this one out already" or "Me and my nan knew who this one was already, it was so obvious"

My apologies, I think I went very overboard on that post, especially the last line.

What I was trying to say overall is that whilst yes, it's the same format as Singer and it's not easy to identify a dancer straight away, this works better for "The Masked UK" franchise and the series, it makes the game more interesting for the audience (as pointed out above)

I wonder if the singers of the show's theme tune were misinformed that it involves celebrities hiding behind shipping containers, as they sound like they're singing "Who's that behind the Maersk?"... ?
MISLEADING HEADLINE "MAKES YOU READ ARTICLE", SAYS NAKED MILEY CYRUS.

Yes, to Frog being Caprice. There was a Diary Room sign in her clues. She was on Celebrity Big Brother 2005.

Stumped on Scarecrow. Possibly Beth Tweddle by the demeanour but not sure if the clues fit.
