A smart move with regards to Discovery + and HBO Max. There is only so many subscriptions people will fork out for, and bringing the two together obviously makes them more attractive.
This could be the get-out card a couple of years down the road if GB News doesn't hit expectations.

Man, it seems cable companies really have it bad with buying out Warner Bros. and then selling it off to to somewhere else.
All in all, I’m keeping my breath held about the merger, unless the agreement includes Guy Fieri getting his own cartoon series
"HA HA HA! Cookies on dowels."

Not sure how much Discovery+ is in the US but at $14.99 without ads and $9.99 with ads HBO Max seems pretty pricey in an increasingly overcrowded market, though I guess it's priced in the context of what HBO has charged as a premium subscription channel rather than in the context of the streaming market.

I wonder what the name of the merged company will be? I'm hoping it's Warner Discovery, in vein of NBC Universal and Viacom CBS.
I wonder how long it took them to come up with that name.
Not brilliant, but not rubbish either.
Personally, I would've preferred
Warner( )Discovery.

Plain text gold lettering on a sky backdrop. At least it's just a corporate logo. The public facing branding will still be the separate Discovery and WB brands I would assume, along with their streaming brands Discovery+ and HBO Max.
