I do wonder whether the producers really understand what people liked about some of these shows. Tonight’s celebrity special of Bullseye didn’t even bother going through a full board of prizes. Now someone observant will point out this is because the other prizes were cash amounts as it was a charity special, but that’s not really a good reason to not to do that round probably as it’s one of the big formats points.

So they’ve taken the format and basically extended it to an hour and taken out the two most iconic parts, the prize board and ‘let’s have a look at what you’ve (could’ve) won’.

I understand they’re not meant to be carbon copies of these shows, but at the same time you’ve got to at least work with the things people remember most.

I quite enjoyed the celebrity version last night. The changes made were an improvement on the edition shown earlier in the season.

Yes, Bullseye had been the weakest of both series IMO but the celeb version suited Alan better. Celeb Name That Tune next week too - feels inevitable if it returns next year it'll probably be all celeb episodes.

I watched the repeat of the Strike it Lucky episode yesterday morning (like half past midnight) and I thought it was leagues ahead of Bullseye the other week.

I did enjoy Bullseye too but preferred the celebrity episode last night.

thats a shame as I did enjoy take your pick. Blimey the final show already next week. Makes me wonder if it was worth moving it to an earlier slot with just 2 weeks to go. Any news on how it did last night in the new slot and if it helped Game of Talents improve its ratings.

Actually looking at the edit history, it appears the table is being updated after every show. Do we know what episode 8 will be? If not then it may just be so that there isn't a blank entry in the table.

There is a Take Your Pick episode this series. There’s more than one episode left, possibly two or three. ITV kept ordering more episodes as their other entertainment shows kept falling by the wayside.

I think Alan said on This Morning that this series was 11 episodes which I guess is 6 regular episodes and 5 celebrity specials

I’m not sure if Deal or No Deal would work in the Epic Gameshow format.

It wouldn't. They can't have an epic finale in a game without multiple rounds. And it would be an epic fail if the last five boxes are all blue (i.e. bottom half of the money ladder).
