I’m not convinced by the format but the promo looks good.
Not sure stripping it over one week is a good idea either. Smacks of scheduling seeing the show, realising its not firing like the singing version and burning it off quickly.
Maybe broadcasting three shows over three weeks would have been better.

Was already intended to air across a single week directly replacing the BGT Live shows, but always felt like it would have been better weekly. Would have done better on Saturdays than Game of Talents I'm sure, which could have been bumped to later summer if commissioned at all. Nowadays the way ITV schedule means it would be pretty easy for them to fill the weeknight slots either with a repeated drama over a few nights or just a few realively cheap one off documentaries.

Seems to be ITV’s strategy at the moment to strip across the week (or at least 3/4 days of it) at 9pm. I remember arguing they should have done this during the first lockdown but now we’re nearing normality it makes less sense.
12 contestants, so the same number as Singer. So if it follows the same format it may be 8 episodes. So I expect it will start on a Saturday then run every day with the final the following Saturday.
It may do ok stripped. With Singer people usually can't wait for the reveals one week to the next.
Not sure how it fits weeknights, presumably 90 mins. So does it start at 8.30 running to 10. Or earlier with later Corrie?
It’s only 7 episodes so I expect it’ll start on the Sunday 30th and finish the next Saturday.

There is an England match on ITV 2nd June, so if it's that week it will likely take a night off.
I'm really looking forward to this series. It's a short burst of fun on a weeknight of a fantastic concept with the Masked Singer running for just one week. The costumes and characters look great and it will be fun not to have to wait a week for the reveals. I think that will help too with people watching and guessing along online so it should get a good online prescence for this week. I think it will do well as a replacement for the BGT Live Semi Finals and Final which would have taken place instead. Also, I would imagine would get a good amount of revenue from ads being sold in its slot.
Agree, it makes sense for ITV to roll the dice and have a go at this. They’ve lost the BGT Semis week so this is a fine replacement. Be interesting, if it’s a a success, how they’d schedule a second series.

Well no World Cup next summer due to it being at the back end of the year so early summer a possibilty. Also likely they'll have holes to fill come the autumn as well - and if not weekly they can just run it across a single week again at any point they like really.
