The lack of rehearsal and piloting time clearly shows. It really comes over that she's been thrown in there with very little experience, like some of the other presenters at launch.

At least the others got the flesh tones and background correct.

Isabel got herself trending yesterday and that's all they care about. Turkey just about sums up GB News though.
That said I think if they had reasonable expectations the ratings at the moment aren't looking too bad. As you'd expect they've lifted slightly since the summer after the always inevitable initial fall, and considering they've been around 3 months, not 30 years, to be where they are in relation to Sky News almost looks successful.

The pool feed, which was also what was fed to Reuters and APTN I believe, was closer to reality if a little too blue. I wonder why GB News took that YouTube feed considering it was sub-par - I am not aware if there were access restrictions on the pool feed but it is possible that it was "UK access only for Sky/BBC/ITN".

But which is the reality, the video feed or the photo taken in a fraction of a second illuminated by the photographer's flashgun? Well, you will get a white flash of a frame or two if a flash gun goes off and that's quite normal.
Setting up a camera for ANY scene is the first thing you are taught for the very reason you might need to grab a shot on the move. White and Black Balance, tripod. If it was a feed supplied by YT I just hope they were not paying for it...
What may have happened is that the camera was set up under 'house' lights before the TV lights and no one rechecked.
What I found sad, is if this was the ONLY video of a crucial event it's knackered forever until you get it into post production and even then it's still a bit of guesswork.

AFAIK the Conference feeds for the three main parties (Labour, Conservative, and LibDem) are rotated around the three main broadcasters (Sky, BBC, ITN) each year. They therefore do not pay each other for use of these feeds. GB News is not a party to that agreement, and does not produce its own pool feed of a conference for the other broadcasters to take free of charge, so therefore cannot take one for themselves. Any AP/Reuters/AFP/EBU refeed from that year's broadcaster will also have the same restrictions in the UK.

That can happen to any broadcaster. There was an incident where Radio 5 wanted to interview the Scottish footballer Tom Boyd, but they booked the broadcaster Tommy Boyd (who did some sports punditry and presenting so wasn't surprised to be invited onto a sports show).

Some sound issues last night at the very start of both Ray Mears' and Mark Dolan's shows.
Sounds like their mic wasnt working, you could hear them being picked up on another one but barely audible.
With Dolan, at one point another voice could be heard saying something like "I'll go in and take a look".
