BBC World News
Am I going mad (probably), or has the BBC World News intro theme been tweaked very slightly? I detected a much more pronounced crashing cymbal on the first note after the headlines and when the theme tune proper started, and the same again on the final cymbal in the opening wide shot before the first story.

I think she was referring to NC channel presenters and not World.

I didn't notice anything different, James. It must be your audio settings.

But looking at times people are on air outside the old branded slots (05-07, 10-13, 13-16, 16-19) the rota appears to rota
Lucy Hockings is in Tokyo.
Kasia Madera is in Germany.
Lyse Doucet is in Doha*.

World News across the World.

Mind you, the studio-end is from Studio E, joint broadcast with channel.

Yes, as from yesterday (if i recall) , I presume it's due to staff shortages, given the whole ' pingdemic' going on at the moment. - Hopefully it's a return to the balcony soon.

Pingdemic and holidays as well as those deployed to Tokyo would surely indicate things won't be back to normal anytime soon.
Looks as through it hasn't stopped the Newsday relaunch through and an hour earlier than in the listings too!

Why is the D in red and the rest in black? :?
Not really sure where this fits, but Dino Sofos has announced he's leaving the BBC [he made the popular Brexitcast, Americast and others]: https://twitter.com/dinosofos/status/141...7670514690
Lucy Hockings and the tiny team out there have finished up in Tokyo

I’ve noticed whenever Kasia Madera posts BBC world news headlines on her Twitter page the graphics are seen as just BBC news and not world news. Does anyone know why this is as it obviously never actually went out on the news channel.

I have a feeling that with the next rebrand BBC World News will be renamed BBC News. The Newsday voiceover now says 'this is BBC News' rather than 'this is BBC World News'.
No more World??????????? Nooooooo!!!!!
