If I were ITV, I'd go radical. Ditch the old-fashioned presenting combo. Make it Susanna's show. She's the star and she's brilliant. Make the throws to weather/news/showbiz chatty but centre everything on her. Bring reporters into the studio more to do segments. It works well with Kay Burley on Sky but she's barely got anyone to talk to and those she does speak to appear mostly to be fairly inexperienced reporters rather than presenters.
It would mark a big difference with Breakfast, which can be unbearably twee.
GMB has quickly become so formulaic, like GMTV with a stupid big desk. We wouldn't have the 'oh not him' every other morning. Kate as the main stand-in and on Fridays.

Richard Madeley is also back for a 'nice long spell' on Monday!

Exactly, which is kind of where they started. I do think a permanent co-host should have been the first priority but failing that Susanna leading a team of presenters is not a bad call at all. Put her talents to good use.

I think Susanna has been quite poor of late. Too much of her opinion after they’ve just interviewed someone (“well that was a waste of time” etc etc). I get that was Piers’ schtick but she’s not Piers and can’t pull it off. She was always the straight one that reigned Piers in, one half of the presenting partnership still needs to fulfill that role.
I noticed the entertainment news was after the news headlines. When does the regional update usually come on?

She was about a third at best- ‘shouty and pouty’ was a truer description than she probably even realised.
She is undoubtedly one of the most famous women in Britain and was a great signing for ITV. But for some reason the more they try to make her the star (with ‘whoever’ as a co-host) you just realise she’s just the tonic and not the gin.

Well, today is the second day of the second month of the year, so it was nice to see GMB mark the occasion with a(n albeit brief and unintentional) duo of Ukrainian Gaisfords earlier.
"Good evening. Dull, grey, cold, miserable - and that's just me. The weather hasn't been great, either."
It must be very difficult for Susanna to work with different people constantly. It’s harder to build up chemistry and if you’ve got presenter novices like Ed Balls then she’d be constantly on edge to make sure the programme runs as smooth as possible.

If they're not going to find a Permanent Host until September then much better interim solution is needed.
Either:
split Monday-Wednesday duties between Adil Ray and Richard Madeley using the other Guest hosts during Half Terms
Or
A Rotation internal Hosts alongside Susanna (Sean, Alex, Kate, Ranvir, Charlotte, Richard Gainford & Johnathan Swain).
Those are the only two good solutions that I see working until September
Dunno, pretty sure the shows getting along just fine with a guest host beside Susanna daily...

This is bordering on fantasy rota chat now and getting very tedious on what you feel should happen when reality doesn’t match fantasy

Just one question then: If Ranvir Singh has stepped down as Political Editor of Good Morning Britain, then who will be the new Political Editor for them?
EDIT 1 and 2: Spelling correction.

Does she even do much in that role given how often she is hosting either GMB or Lorraine?
