Just to add onto that too the voiceover on the names is quite quiet too and the theme is quite loud and sometimes you have to listen very carefully to try and hear it

I fully agree -I quite enjoy guests hosts as it’s fresh to have different hosts with varying views

I don’t personally think it’s unreasonable to expect a breakfast program to have the same hosts at least three days a week. To have 4 different pairings of main hosts every week is a little much IMO, and they still seem no further forward in terms of a permanent replacement for Piers.
I don’t see it all that often, but they seem to be in something of a weird place format wise. They’ve dropped the monologues and unpredictability which you had under Piers (which made it most watchable IMO around 2017/18), but have kept the silly, confrontational debates, which no longer seem to ‘match’ the rest of program. I do think they would have been better just biting the bullet and bringing in a new host who could have done their own spin on what Piers did. If they hadn’t have worked out, they could have been gone by now and they’d be in the same place they are currently. We don’t seem to get ratings very often, but I believe the show is plodding along in the 600-700k range, which certainly isn’t brilliant. I don’t personally think this reluctance to commit to a new host and a proper format is necessarily helping.

They can’t commit to a full-time replacement if one just doesn’t exist who ticks all the right boxes. Having said that, it feels like the show is now drifting.
Obviously we’re now supposed to view GMB as overwhelmingly Susanna’s show with a carousel of guest co-hosts. They need to be a bit bolder with the people they’re trying out to be honest- is there really any point in getting the likes of Ed Balls back, for example? Also they keep going for ‘names’, but the long-term solution might be someone a lot less well-known who just happens to build a winning chemistry with Susanna. Seems unthinkable they would ever grow a fairly unknown talent like Ben Shephard now, though that’s what they did 20 years ago.

There are suitable choices out there but they need to take a risk rather than continue on the merry go round of guest hosts. The idea that Piers is irreplaceable is ludicrous really and only feeds his ego.

If those responsible for making the decision can’t find a suitable replacement, or rework the program to suit a possible replacement accordingly, that’s surely a failing on them, and not the talent that’s out there? People at ITV are paid enormous sums to solve exactly these kinds of problems, I’m not sure the conclusion is that there is no suitable television presenter in Britain that can take over the role.

I see that the RHG (Random Host Generator) has chucked out Ed Balls again.
How long are they going to keep at this System? I honestly don't like being left in the dark and playing a guessing game about who's going to host GMB with Susanna that week. If they're going to keep Guest Hosts for the forseeable future then the only way this System can continue is if they Move Ben to the start of the week and give Guest Hosts Thursdays and Fridays

Also by not having an immediate replacement it meant that there wouldn't be an outcry of "they're not as good as Piers" from the public, and in particular from Piers himself. Maybe now that Erron Gordon has departed GMB's new director (whose name I don't know) might decide the time is now right to have a regular Mon-Weds presenter to be paired with Susanna.

Rob all this regular forum moans about lack of replacement for Piers is getting tedious isn’t it? Like one day to the next will suddenly bring about a change….
