If they don't at least replace Fay Ripley it will be clear they've learned nothing, but I get the impression the feeling is that should it return it probably needs a new format, new panelists and I'd argue a new host too. Paul Sinha is one of my favourite TV personalities (and much missed this week on Beat the Chasers) but hosting this did him no favours.

What I still like about that is at the end of each episode, they always say: ‘You can write to us at Countdown, Leeds, LS3 1JS’, that being the postcode for the studios on Kirkstall Road.

Yes to both questions. Although the programme moved out of Yorkshire in 2009, the office has remained at Leeds since then, to date. Sadly, it was the only programme that was being filmed at YTV that wasn’t Emmerdale or Calendar. Anything else having been axed, such as Heartbeat.

Loose Men is back next Thursday with Richard Madeley, Jordan Banjo, Martin Kemp and Rob Rinder:

I do like when they do these specials. It would be interesting if they also did a Youth version, pensioner version etc.

He's almost too intelligent for it and to be stuck behind an autocue just doesn't suit him. They should just give the show to Rob Beckett.

I gave up after episode 2 I think but Chizzy Akudolu clearly made her case to be a regular panelist - unlike Fay Ripley she clearly watched TV.

Is Game of Talents made by the same people as The Masked Singer? It has the same very slick style of intro, and the same style of building up of tension for reveals. I think it’s in part down to the prerecording and post production but they’re both very well put together. Cowell-produced shows fall short on this.

Game of Talents is based on a Spanish format which Fremantle owns. Compared to ICSYV it does feel a bit flat although it's also made by Thames.

Interesting to see ITV showing Australian Ninja Warrior - and on the main channel too. Seems despite rumours of axing the UK version it's a format they're not quite willing to give up on, so be interesting to see how this does. I do suspect when circumstances allow another UK series may be on the cards next year.
