I hated the "Unwind" thing at first but then I started to realise how relaxing the programme is. It does a really good job at helping people sleep after a long day. Although Nightscreen is gone I'll still remember the memories such as me going down the stairs at like 4am one morning to see Nightscreen on and then turn the TV off so I can let my mum sleep. (She mostly sleeps in the living room and IDK why)

It's an interesting idea, kind of like those Youtube videos that are about rain, fireplaces, etc. that have tons of views, does something different for that time of day. I wonder if they'll give it some attention to keep it updated, or they end up having the same footage for like 10 years.

Presumably if it contributes to some kind of quota it'll need a minimum number of "new" hours per year.

Press Centre has released information regarding Unwind with ITV:
ITV Press Centre Wrote:Following World Mental Health Day, ITV has announced the launch of Unwind with ITV, a daily series of calming and reflective programming encouraging mindfulness and self-care, as a new strand running in twilight hours on ITV, for those who are awake at that time, whatever the reason. It will also gently direct people to sources of mental health support and information.
Produced by Rock Oyster Media for broadcast on ITV, ITV2, ITV3, ITV4, STV and ITV Hub, Unwind with ITV represents what is believed to be a world first, offering viewers a new episode of mindfulness content 365 days a year.
ITV worked in close collaboration with Campaign Against Living Miserably to develop the series, and ensure it delivered on its goal of providing a space of relaxation and escape that anyone can benefit from, including those experiencing concerns with their mental wellbeing.
Over the next 12 months the series will feature calming scenes from Plymouth-based Rock Oyster’s surroundings, from natural landscapes to urban settings and shots of local craft and agriculture. The programme will also feature ASMR-inspired animations, tips and tricks from members of the public on how they like to relax, and readings of poetry and prose. Each will immerse the viewer in a space that will promote relaxation and reflection.

Well not surprising if you're uploading entire shows. Looking at ITV Hub there are three episodes available, all added on Sunday. Do they just have three at the moment they're showing on a loop?

I'm a semi-insomniac. Sometimes I can go days without beneficial sleep and more often than not I find myself channel surfing in the early hours of the morning.
I came across ITV's new slow TV commission partly due to reading about it here. I actually like it. It's the sort of programming I would have scoffed at years ago, but the world is different now, and I think Unwind is perfect for helping a person find an hour or so of peace and quiet.

Honestly, this sounds like a fair exchange
Not only do you get content to help your mental health, but you also have something to go to sleep with
