Nice for once they kept it secret - I think Corrie is often one of the worst for revealing everything even when it doesn't need to. Also sounds like it wasn't completely spoilered by the warning announcements, which are becoming increasingly annoying on commercial TV now, especially when they are used before every part. Viewers don't need to always be warned of having an emotional reaction - if they do that's a healthy thing, and exactly what drama, whether performed or written, has set out to do for centuries.

From a personal point of view, I was a bit annoyed after I saw a tweet from the official Corrie account just before 9pm last night which left me in no doubt what had happened in the episode, before I’d seen it. I suppose it’s better than promoting it beforehand, but a little allowance for those of us not watching live would have been appreciated.
To be fair, anything that airs live is unfortunately no longer a spoiler.
Its known many do catch up nowadays but the onus is on the user to avoid spoilers, which in todays world is avoiding social media.

I watched Wednesday and Friday's eps and I have to say good acting and overall good episodes. If only that kind of quality could be there for every episode, because I find characters are often written as caricatures on Corrie now.
I was totally shocked by
putting this in a spoiler as I dont want to have my head bitten off! Even though it aired nearly 24 hours ago. I was glad I watched this episode 'live' as it was all over social media afterwards, i often binge watch over the weekend.
Its rare these days that im shocked by anything in the soaps. But well done to Corrie for keeping this a secret. I think they need to do more of this (keeping things secret) if they want people to tune in and for the show to compete with other shows that are getting higher ratings.
I also liked it that the episode focussed on this one storyline in yesterdays double. One of the best set of episodes in about a year since Yasmeen stabbed Geoff.

And still managed to involve a sizeable chunk of the cast without anyone being "filler". No scenes, as far as I can recall, of uninvolved cast tutting and going "Ooh isn't it awful," or anything like that. Absolutely brilliant episodes.

Yes I have to give Corrie credit where its due for Fridays episodes which were brilliant after a rather mediocre 2021 so far IMO.

Corrie is usually one of the worst for revealing it's secrets so refreshing to see for once they didn't. You would think the soaps would see things like the reaction to cliffhangers in Line of Duty and remember they are strongest when viewers see the stories unfold on screen rather than in the episode descriptions before hand.
