Another contender for Rebecca Curran's maternity cover on The Nine, Sarah McMullan presented The Seven tonight and did a decent job.

The Nine is coming from Studio C tonight and tomorrow as their usual set is being used for an OUR PLANET NOW BBC SCOTLAND special tomorrow night.

I mean it is, but as Laura said herself she is delighted, and she has received many congratulations from her colleagues, so she doesn't see this as a demotion.....even though The Nine recently had reached the figure of 2300 people watching at one time, a very low rating

Laura Maciver only acts as cover on the main edition of Reporting Scotland, plus reads shorter bulletins. Laura Miller is the main anchor Mondays to Wednesdays.

Does the 6.30 presenter stay on for the 10.30pm update, or do they use one of the Nine presenters or someone else entirely?

Monday-Wednesday Laura Miller does the 6:30 and the 10:30. But Thursday and Friday, Sally Magnusson only does the 6:30. It’s usually Anne Lundon or Graham Stewart doing the 10:30, although Andrew Black from radio has been popping up more often. At the weekend, if timings allow, The RepScot presenter will also present The Seven on the channel.
