However, few people outside of this forum in the UK will have ever heard of CBS Sunday Morning, so i doubt it should be a concern of the BBC's. I'd say the biggest risk of confusion would be with Sunday Morning Live, which also airs on BBC One on a Sunday morning. I say bring back 'On the Record' - however maybe the crocodile wouldn't make it in 2022.

I can reassure you and everyone here, there would be no confusion. Zero. SML will finish its run on the exact same day Andrew Marr's show concluded. Clearly just a filler show needing a new brand to replace Andrew Marr. If his show wasn't self named it would likely have continued with the same identity.
Didn't realise Marr was leaving quite so soon but it does seem nowadays quite rare to have a permanent replacement ready to go once a presenter leaves, with guest hosts or an interim host before a permanent presenter is found.

I assumed this news meant she was among the favourites, and this generic ‘Sunday Morning’ show is just a trial run to see how she fares, with a rebrand due should she get the gig permanently?

I can only assume/hope that Sunday Morning Live won't be on air whilst this temporary branding is being used.

Really not convinced Sophie Raworth is a suitable replacement on even a temporary basis but maybe as someone who isn't perceived to be a heavyweight interview can get a "gotcha" moment when politicans least expect it.

I guess this means she won’t be doing the news as much? So will be seeing more of Clive, Reeta, Mishal, Jane and Ben on the Six & Ten bulletins.
