Sky News: 2021 Refresh

What if the YouTube live stream is being blocked because either Qatar Airways or Vitality, the only two ads that can be seen globally, only wanted their ads seen in a limited number of places?

Carriage issue doesn't seem to be the issue because if it were the geoblocking would only be done in places with wider distribution.

From a financial POV, it seems like they're missing out on some additional revenue though most likely not much. When I play the live stream a localized ad (or two) run before being able to see the live stream and sometimes during the breaks I get additional localized ads instead of see all of the global weather forecast.

The old logo sneaking in there on the desk by the looks of it. Back graphics looking fantastic though - it's the clean and classy style that Sky has really excelled in recently.

True. But this is primarily a presentation forum not a journalism forum. If it was completely irrelevant for a visual medium like television then most tv studios would just be big black boxes.

Journalism plays a part in tv presentation. As much as I like to talk about graphics and sets, the editorial is another key part of the product.

You have mentioned in other threads and on TVF in the past about poor editorial of certain bulletins and news channels, so I don't see what the issue is here simply because you don't like the presentation element of Sky News when the journalism continues to be first class.
Watch what happens. Its very interesting.

Literally a presentation forum.

Your attitude on this forum stinks. Either respect other people's opinions or leave the forum. Simple as that.
I'm on Andover Radio every Saturday afternoon from 4pm-6pm. Follow me on Twitter.
You can see part of the new Sophy Ridge branding in the Westminster studio at the start of the clip

Looks great. Sad to see Trevor go but really happy Sophy is back. Best political show on tv.

Don't know if this is the correct thread for it, but Sky News and Independent Radio News have once again renewed their contract to distribute news, business, sports and entertainment radio content to IRN. Sky News became IRN's content supplier in 2009 replacing ITN https://radiotoday.co.uk/2022/03/sky-new...ial-radio/

Hardly surprising. I doubt there was anybody else going from it.

There have been no other challengers, at least publicly
Final day for Kate McCann who's joining Talk TV.

I was watching "The Early Rundown" earlier on Sky News on YouTube, and I noticed that during the sports round-up segment, they just air a filler program. But when I checked a live stream of MSNBC, they seem to show the sports segment in full.

Do they place a filler program during Sky Sports News segment on the international feed, or only on YouTube?
Wilfred Frost on air today appearing at the Big Screen today doing the analysis role we’ve seen various presenters/reporters doing. Just seen him during Belle Donati’s shift this afternoon. First time I’ve seen him on Sky News, I believe?
