BBC News (UK): October 2021 onwards

When the logo thing happens on Monday, will the OSG (on-screen graphics) change with it?

Most likely, not.

That said: it will be the fourth logo with the current package. Quite surprising...
From what we seen so far with this new logo it’s going to be very disappointing the new logo looks terrible in a box
If the changes on Monday are going to consist of little/nothing more than the "BBC News" writing in the red square being amended to the Reith blocks etc, with the other 99.9% of what the title sequences etc consist of being the same as now, then I'm utterly bemused that such a fantastically minor tweak wasn't done e.g. last October when the One-Four channel idents were updated.

It's presumably got something to do with what a bloated organisation the Beeb is, with its 94,000 layers of middle management and with every last (sub-sub-sub-sub-)department being an autocratic fiefdom? ?

There are too many sub-department and division of the Beeb now, and some of them are yet change their logos, particularly international subsidiaries.

I rather hope that BBC News is going to be full 16:9 widescreen area for graphics and lower third since 14:9 safe zone graphics were become dated in 2022 than in 2000.
I just hope the new “3 box” logo appears on Monday instead of that terrible looking boxed logo. The new BBC logo just does not suit that box at all.
[THIS IS NOT A REBRAND] - Rory N On TVLF | 2021-2022
Bit of a disaster just now, the BBC seem to have lost their translator! A whole start of the speech by Le Pen was pretty much broadcast in French without a translation for at least a couple of mins. In the end the presenter started doing the translation, maybe she was listening to Sky News!. Oh they have found one in the end.
Do we know if the new blocks will appear during Breakfast, or at 9am?
