This Morning

No wonder Alison & Dermot have their own titles. From what I've been reading, they've given the Friday ratings a real boost.

Alison & Dermot hosting all next week.

What happened to the deal of keeping Eamonn & Ruth in the holidays??

Not everywhere is on half term this week, for example in Cambridgeshire half term is 31st May to 4th June.

Indeed - TM are having their half term week next week. We were told Eamonn & Ruth would still do half terms, as well as the summer run.

It seems either the show is gradually trying to phase out Ruth & Eamonn or they’re both not wanting to appear on the show much anymore.

This year they’ve only done February half term and one week of Easter. Therefore it’s going to be interesting to see if they come back for Summer now or if they’ve already practically said goodbye to This Morning.

Perhaps Eamonn has also decided to concentrate on his chronic pain issues, the poor bloke looked knackered last time he was on

I'd say it seems more like the former and they're trying to phase out Eamonn and Ruth (Which May Means that they could be gone at the end of the year). If that's the case then i'll be mad. What happened to the deal that Eamonn and Ruth will host during Half Terms? The only other Possibility I see here is that Alison and Dermot are taking a few weeks off at the end of June/Beginning of July so we could see Eamonn and Ruth Fill in on Fridays before Phil and Holly leave for summer.

I'm actually Fearing that they'll get axed from This Morning for good before the year's out. If this is the case then it will be a very bad Decision in my opinion

I've always felt this summer would likely be their last - just hope they get the chance of an on-screen farewell rather than just not appearing again.

The right choice though to look forward rather than look back.

Judging by the comments on '#ThisMorning', as well as under TM's own Twitter feed, a lot of folk would be rather displeased if Eamonn & Ruth were in fact being phased out.

Most people, including me, had come to terms with Alison & Dermot on a Friday (thank God for Jeremy Vine!), as long as we continued to see Eamonn & Ruth in the holidays.

Look forward to what? Friday's and school holidays being totally unwatchable?

I would rather they phased out Phil and Holly, especially Phil and keep Eamonn & Ruth.

when they decided on Alison and Dermot presenting surely it would have been best to eat into one of Phil & Holly's days, say Monday.

Why though? There's no need to make the presenting lineup even more complicated by splitting it 3 ways.

I agree with Brekkie... Eamonn & Ruth aren't the future of This Morning, they will never take over if either (or both) Phil & Holly leave. Where that's a real possibility for Alison & Dermot.

I don’t get why people hate watch This Morning, if you don’t like Alison and Dermot, don’t watch.

I totally agree. Either that or they could have rotated Alison and Dermot and Eamonn and Ruth every other week

You can't really go on a handful of people who bother to tweet about it. The ratings have determined that Alison & Dermot are popular and have boosted numbers. They are likely the future for This Morning.

Suspect the demos are better too. And Dermot really should be considered much more of a coup for the show than he actually is considering he's probably been the number one (individual at least) presenter around for the last decade or so. Alison also brings an energy to the show you just don't get with most other daytime hosts. People complain when you get cookie cutter functional presenters on these shows - and then complain when you don't.

Talking of other daytime shows I see Dr Ranj was working for the other side this morning over on Morning Live. In the space of a year This Morning has gone from being the only daytime magazine show around to having two rivals bookending it. In that sense it is no surprise those in charge are now not being so complacent in their hosting choices.
