That's great, glad she's getting opportunity

Is this a new role? Can’t think of anyone being replaced etc.

Edit: I think this is perhaps more of an off screen, editorial role:

Homes for programmes made in there have been found elsewhere. However the gallery is back in use for Outside Source. Studio B is mothballed however for the time being because of the large number of people needed to justify its use. Being mothballed doesn’t necessarily mean it’s permanently closed of course.

A is back in use for Newswatch

Write that down in your copybook now
It looks like news at 5 is going to be in studio A as well. Nice to see another studio in use.

I wonder if the 5pm hour will be in there permanently or if they’re making use of it today being open for Newswatch.

Chris cook mentions it’s due to the film review returning to being studio based next week however they won’t be able to film it in studio C so it would make sense for them to be in A and the news channel staying in E.

He also said this regarding newsroom and afternoon live.

I wonder if Outside Source will return to 9pm and have World News Today at 7pm, as it was between 2007-17 but daily, here my out on weekends the news channel presenter could start at 8pm and go through to 12am. Not in the format we had since 2017, but with a mix of interviews, sport, business & arts/culture
The camera that faces the catwalk (camera 4?) is in need of some WD40 again it sounds like!
A new face presenting the news channel this afternoon - Luxmy Gopal. She is normally a reporter and presenter at Look North Leeds but has been reporting for national news and Breakfast this summer.

Yes she’s quite good - she also did the late morning shift last Friday and a Sunday edition of Breakfast a few weeks back.
anyone agree with me that the studio a is disgusting and the worst studio ever? really, studio c is better

I think the new newsroom background looks a lot better in A than it does in C as it looks a lot less washed out. The studio itself isn’t as good as the real thing IMO but it’s certainly not bad and definitely not “the worst studio ever”.
To be honest, it looks a little bit better now than with the old background on 2013:

I still don´t understand why the right fake screen doesn´t animate and is fixed. That still looks ugly. Plus it still looks like the "glass screen" model that was dropped and never used on screen before the move to NBH.
There’s absolutely no reason why Jane Hill shouldn’t be doing the Ten as much as Clive Myrie and Reeta Chakrabarti.
