Just tuned into Eurosport 2 now, and the holding slide up, but we could hear a producer talking to the commentator, and background music. Now switched to a view of the Lakeside, we're not missing any action, it's between matches. I'm guessing adverts failed to play out.

Not a tv breakdown, but thought it was worth mentioning. At about 9:20 Heart Dance finished the track it was playing, went to dead air for about 30 seconds. It then started playing It's My Life by Dr. Alban for about a minute then played out its station ID followed by what seemed like endless adverts. It resumed playing music at around 9:27

PS: forgot to add that nothing was mentioned on air, it just continued as if nothing happened.

Kind of reminds me of the fault caption from BBC One Northern Ireland from 1998

I wonder if that BBCNI one was intended to be

BBC Northern Ireland

Apologies for the interruption
to programmes. Normal services
will resume as soon as possible

in the style of the 70s/80s strike captions with BBC-1 or BBC-2 as a header at the top?
Write that down in your copybook now
A breakdown on BBC1 just now as the weather did not play and it cut to a breakdown slide with Duncan Newmarch reading the weather over it.

I just recorded it via iPlayer:

A bit like the scripts written for programme menus in case they need to fill during a junction, the announcers always have weather scripts but very rarely have to use them.

As seen here at the blue place, previously there was a graphic especially for this: https://tvforum.uk/forums/post1074537#post-1074537

Doesn't neccesarily mean there isn't one any more, of course, as if the problem was very late there might not have been time to get anything other than the breakdown slide to air.
A bit late on this one but I was just looking back at my recording of the Oscars this year from Sky Showcase and it seemed they lost pictures a few times - at one point briefly joining the ABC feed (complete with the ABC logo).
First time I have been on in ages, butttt.

During last night's FA CUP semi of Chelsea vs Crystal Palace, Freeview's ITV feed cut for less then 20 seconds, to the Lion King!  Big Grin

Yes, some discussion in the Sport thread
Didn't think this was worth its own thread (and the music channels thread from last year is closed) but this thread seemed the closest match:

The Box and Kerrang have had no graphics since last night...
Colour bars suddenly appeared on BT Sport during the Harlequins Vs Leicester rugby match this afternoon.

Oh dear, I hope this isn’t a repeat of the Red Bee problems from 2021.
