BBC iPlayer has an update. Well on iOS at least, still using the old icon tho.
Old icon, but new channel logos.

There’s also some subtle UI changes like Reith, a more flat design and no more backgrounds for each of the channels
While Reith is being used, it’s not used on the TV Guide yet, but the new channel logos are there.

Probably worth noting that the BBC Sounds app also had an update on Android yesterday, however retained its current logo.

Interestingly, this hasn’t been updated on the iPlayer website itself… With only the icons on the programme pages being updated.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who's noticed this - in fact, it might have been brought up before and I'm just incredibly out of the loop

The BBC News homepage has no Reith [except for the nav bar, of course], but the rest of its pages do?
boredom makes you do things

Indeed, and a slightly closer look at the Radio 1 new logo:

Meh.

I have deleted several posts.

johnnyboy - wishing the death penalty on the people responsible for this rebrand is a view I will not tolerate on this forum. I am apalled that you could even suggest this, given your previous conduct here.

Meh.

In all fairness at least they all look consistent. I’m not the biggest fan of Reith either… however, I do think there is room for some personality to be brought back into each channel identities - like the exclamation mark in BBC Three etc.

Sorry Rob - it was tongue-in-cheek and I thought the hysterical, over-the-top tone would mean that no-one knew I was serious.

Message recieved and understood.

Colouring for the channels is all in BBC Two teal: [Image: XbDprnT.jpg]
They're both women and that trumps regionality; ITV guidelines

Only for 'live' programmes. This colour has been rolled out in the last couple of months across Sounds and News too to signify 'live' events or programmes.

I'm not sure what colour I associate with "LIVE" but it certainly isn't teal.
