Television Networks: How Did We Get Here?

I have previously mentioned here that my mental health recently hasn't been amazing, and unfortunately, it's still proving to be an issue. As a result, I have been looking at other ways to enjoy myself. Whilst I have enjoyed making these timelines, they can sometimes be a bit laborious and I've found myself enjoying them less as time has gone on. It's also somewhat challenging to continue when I feel like nobody is really that bothered about this anymore.

As a result, I'm slowing down my efforts. I don't want to stop entirely, but this will become something which I steadily chip away at, as opposed to diving in and doing a few hours of research and compiling. I will instead be focusing more on other things that I enjoy, which includes making TV- & Radio-related videos.

That sounds entirely fair enough - you need to prioritise yourself rather than feeling obliged to do things for other people. And a project like that is always going to have a short period where it's interesting and find new things before it becomes a drag. Thanks for your work on the timelines, and enjoy making the videos!

I'll leave you all for now with an updated Greatest Hits Radio timeline, which now includes the former Imagine Radio stations, and a compilation of radio news jingles from Ireland, the Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands, put together by myself and Josh.

I really enjoy the stuff you've done so far and I regret not sharing my appreciation of your work earlier in this thread.

Really sorry to hear about your issues so I respectfully ask you to concentrate on yourself and your own wellbeing first.

Thank you Night Thoughts and johnnyboy for your kind words.

This isn't the first time I've battled these sorts of issues, and it won't be the last. Being part of this community brings me a lot of comfort and happiness when everything else can feel like it's falling apart at the seams. I don't want anybody to think that anything here has led to my current issues, as they haven't. It's just a case of me having to look at what is bringing the most enjoyment at the moment, and using those things to balance everything out whilst I rectify what's causing the biggest issues for me.

Put simply, it's gonna be a case of focusing less on these timelines (although I hope to slowly continue working on them), and focusing more on uploading TV and radio content to YouTube, planning the next 'British Radio News Jingles' compilation, alongside my other hobbies of numismatics and playing more Euro Truck Simulator 2 than I'd like to admit.

Couldn't have said it any better than Night Thoughts and Johnnyboy already have.

Your wellbeing comes first. Always.

You know where I am.
"Good evening. Dull, grey, cold, miserable - and that's just me. The weather hasn't been great, either."

After a week of pondering, I feel like now is the right time to make clear my intentions with this project.

I no longer feel like I am able to continue with these timelines into the future, and as such, I have started work on my final timelines. These final timelines are:
 • CTV (Canada)
 • CTV 2 (Canada)
 • Global (Canada)
 • Citytv (Canada)
 • Network 10 (Australia)
 • Analogue Radio Timeline by Town/City

Timelines for radio stations in Cardiff, Haverfordwest, and Swansea are now available in the usual place. All of the timelines (except U.S. Affiliate Change) will remain for future reference. I also plan to keep these timelines as up to date as I can.

I'd like thank everybody for the support given throughout this project. I hope you've all enjoyed it as much as I have.

Timelines for CTV, CTV2 and Citytv networks now available.
#52
Timelines added for Global Television Network, and AM/FM timelines for Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow.
#53
Timelines for Network 10 Australia, plus AM/FM band in Belfast & Derry now available.

This is the final timeline for a TV network, but keep your eyes peeled for the final set of radio timelines which should be out within the next couple of weeks. I'd like to thank everybody once again for your support throughout this project. I wouldn't have gotten this far without all your support and feedback.

Once again, I'd like to thank each and every one of you for your comments and feedback. It has all been greatly appreciated. I will be trying to keep the timelines up to date, so be sure to check back from time to time.

On to the next project.
