The ticker is there on the EMEA feed and CNN.com live stream (which I think is the North America feed).

But echoing some of the thoughts on here - if there is going to be an international news ticker, the place that it's probably least needed are international shows. Would be great to have the ticker for pre-recorded magazines and domestic simulcasts.

Does the ticker not appear on recorded filler? Or is it still the old flipper?

Nope. Looks like the ticker only appears on live international shows. No ticker or flipper on recorded stuff or domestic simulcasts.

Good to see Cyril Vanier anchoring from the UK today for the G7 summit. Been a while since I last saw him on air.

First time I’ve seen Cyril anchoring in quite a while. Presumably we’ll get a bit more CNNI produced output this weekend rather than Domestic doing the heavy lifting like normal (and a few less Inside Africa airings). CNNI seem to have lots of their UK team out there covering the G7.

I like the addition of the ticker - it’s much nicer than the flipper. That said it is quite fast compared to other channels so could be slowed down a tad. As others have said it’s probably more needed during recorded shows and Domestic simulcasts.

Regarding the ticker, it feels like CNN US and CNN International are doing a reciprocal thing, because CNN US doesn't show their ticker during CNNI simulcasts as well.

It just annoys me that, like CNN US, the CNNI ticker also have that "LIVE" on-screen graphic permanently.

The CNNI ticker (and the red logo) has just popped up midway through Inside Politics Sunday at 40 past the hour. Quite random but very useful!

EDIT: Looks like it pops up intermittently.

I think they are probably on stand-by for Boris' speech, which I assume will continue to Biden's speech as well.

Normally, I would have been interested in the new show featuring Stanley Tucci. I like the actor, I like the country and I love the food!

However, the same promo being played about six times an hour for the last month has irritated me to the point that I have completely lost interest.

It doesn’t even start for another week but we have been seeing the same promo for about two months. I can actually quote most of it word for word!

So, nah… Won’t be watching.

On a similar note, Anderson Cooper’s conversation with President Obama is being billed as the interview everyone is talking about. Who is everyone?! I doubt most people know it’s on!

they are probably just replicating how CNN US promotes its "Original Series" shows, especially we rarely get those on CNN International, aside from endless reruns of sponsored programming like Marketplace Africa, African Voices, etc.

Indeed. Best wishes for her and this treatment, which is very difficult, but really needed. The question is: When she is in chemotherapy during the next few weeks, her timeslot will be used to rerun some recent interviews, or maybe use a substitute interviewer to fill-in for her? They have some additional interviewers they use for the PBS version of her show, maybe they could rotate them to fill-in for her during the treatment.

I just heard this now as well. I'm glad to hear that it was caught early & she is getting treatment. I wish her well in the chemotherapy in it being a success.
