About potentially renaming utv life. there was a chat show AT 7:30pm on Thursday called the seven thirty show with Marc Mallett & Tina Campbell if anyone remembers that. bring that back with Pamela

To be honest, with UTV Life, it it aint broke, dont fix it, and the show with Pammy is just fine as it is. I dont see ITV ditching the UTV Live & UTV Life brands any time soon....not because they dont want to, but more to do with what to replace the UTV name with, and the consequences/sensitivities regarding what else to use instead of the very simple and easy non offensive UTV brand name.

The Hub does not show View from Stormont, UTV Life, Up Close, Rare Breed, Face to Face with Eamonn Mallie, etc

So all these will get 1 showing only on the main UTV channel and thats it!

Regional programmes like Rare Breed, UTV Life, View from... etc etc do only get 1 showing on the main UTV channel. Non of these have a repeat at a different time later in the week!

Okay, it may not be the actual "Hub" thingumy as such. But it is *somewhere* that UTV local programmes are available "on-demand" in some form after their linear broadcast, which is at least something.

All of which is, I'm sure, also the point that Whataday is making...

In summary...

Yes, it is indeed factually correct that UTV programmes get neither a repeat linear broadcast nor are put onto the actual ITV Hub as such. But, their availability via that "UTV Programmes" website means that their single linear television showing *isn't* literally the only opportunity to ever see them.

I was hitherto unaware that "The Seven Thirty Show" had ever been a thing. Such ultra-literal/ultra-basic programme names make me roll my eyes so hard that I can see my own brain.

Other examples would include "The Politics Show" (the initial successor to BBC One's long-running On The Record), and "Victoria Derbyshire" as a programme title (even just flanking her name with "The..." and "...Show" would have at least have been *something* (but still crap)).

If there is to be any eventual renaming of UTV Life, I would hope it would be for a more inspiring title than e.g. "The Seven Thirty Show" or similar.

It’s being reported elsewhere that this graphic appeared as a “break bumper” during this morning’s GMB in Northern Ireland.

I have never seen that UTV graphic before? Not even during the UTV branding pre-April 2020.

The Part of ITV 'phrase' I dont believe has ever been displayed onscreen??...I've only ever seen that phrase on the UTV wall at CityQueys 2, I believe it on entrance wall of the floor that UTV occupy in the building...see Julian picture here...

I'm glad you've managed to work out who the announcer was before last nights/tonight's UTV Live at 6.

I was thinking it was possibly Eden Wilson but just could not pin point exactly who it was. I wonder why they have recorded the announcement locally? There's plenty of examples of the London announcers all announcing "UTV Live with Paul & Rose". Had it been an different duo i.e. Marc & Rose, Sarah & Rose etc, I could understand why a new announcement would be needed but it's the usual team on tonight??

Maybe the message that we UTV viewers aren't happy with the London announcers has finally reached ITV bosses?
