It's interesting to see there's an effort to link News Corp's broadcast assets. The practical challenge will be seeing how they handle the different brands in the respective markets: is Piers going to namecheck "talkTV" when his programme airs on Fox Nation and Sky News Australia? I suppose they could choose to keep things neutral, with no reference to the channel - but it would be pretty odd for one of the channel's leading profiles never to utter the name "talkTV" on his show.

Probably talkSPORT content yes. But I wouldn't totally rule out sports rights, you say expensive but if there is 1 company in the UK who would have deep enough pockets, it's News UK.
This is clearly going to be a loss leader to start with, I can imagine Piers has been signed on quite a hefty salary (although, probably smartly pooling a bit of cash from Sky News Australia, Fox News, New York Post & The Sun in the budget for use of his 'News UK' time).

Considering it will likely air at different times in the three different markets, then surely Piers could just record different versions of opening/closing/break links so that they reflect the various channels. Bolt it on in the edit, then you're sorted.

I suspect they've seen how badly mis-managed GB News is and now seems to be the best opportunity to take them on with a more mainstream, but still right-wing skewed channel.
I won't be surprised if there are synergies with talkRADIO TV, such as taking their news bulletins and simulcasting some of their radio programmes such as Julia Hartley-Brewer and Jeremy Kyle.

Probably (almost certainly) a long shot, but suppose 'talkTV' is just a working title. Perhaps when it does launch, they might actually call it 'Fox' or 'Fox Nation' or similar; rename Sky News Australia to 'Fox News Australia', and then Piers could just namecheck 'Fox' on air. Or, as valley said, they could just get him to record separate intros/outros for each channel (which is much more likely, I'd imagine).

Who do you think might go over from an existing broadcaster (BBC, ITV, Sky, GBN) to talkTV? I wouldn't be surprised if they napped a few. I think SImon McCoy would prefer working at a more professional outfit, he's clearly not very happy at GBN. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to emulate a show like This Morning or Loose Women.
Well, that's it for GB News, very much game over. The question is how long will it take investors to realise this. They have practically no audience, no real income coming in from Advertising, staff leaving, and now the bigger boys have decided they want to play in their playground.
On top of all that they GB News have done a lot of the research work for them. They know exactly what won't work and what not to do when running a right-wing station in the UK. I'd assume talkTV will still be right of centre but with proper voices from the centre and the left.

Generally right leaning yes, just like Talk Radio but with plenty of other views. Rob Rinder, entirely liberal, being the prime example.
That’s exactly what GBN got wrong. An echo chamber for a small part of the population is a bad business model.

He's damaged goods in Media circles (a major misstep) but the British public won't be bothered because in general, they won't know about it. He was almost never on the channel and almost no one watches the channel. Ask the UK public what GB News is and almost all of them won't have a clue. Ask them who Andrew Neil is and some of them will remember the excellent interviews he's done down through the years. There's also the fact that he is 72 and he hasn't lived a quiet life. He might want to slow down a little at this stage.

Rob Rinder is a poor example, considering he was only covering drive and the reason they choose him was because he was ‘Judge Rinder’ not for political balance. Although he does seem to have a Sunday morning slot as well so maybe that regular gig. Trisha is another example and I imagine a few other names at the weekends.

Interesting that they appear to be avoiding calling it a news channel and are instead pushing multiple genres. I wonder if they'll go for a general entertainment license from Ofcom to get a higher position in the EPG rather than be trapped at the bottom with the news channels.
This is the absolute endgame for GB News. No way they'll survive this.
