I notice from Monday they are showing the Early Rundown at 6am and Kay Burley 7-8am on Sky Showcase..

Well that’s what I call a last minute change! That wasn’t even being considered two weeks ago.

That was something I actually said would happen on this very thread for my prospective Sky Showcase schedule

Indeed you did. If its going to be a channel with a bit of everything, then it needs to stick to that. If I was in charge of what Sky Showcase would show, this is likely how I'd do it. I will do a day's worth of programming, between 6am and 12am the next day, with bits from each channel. This is a mismash, and frankly, I think (I HOPE) they would have a better mix of programmes. My idea would basically be to have the schedules of each Sky Channel work alongside Sky Showcase, so that a show can air simultaneously. At junctions, announcer can say 'If you want more of this programme, go to this channel, or on Catchup:

I was actually on Sky Showcase today, and Will and Grace was on there too, so two points for moi. Should have just filled 5pm-8pm with Simpsons episodes though.

I'd like it if the Sky Showcase ident was a bit more animated - if the panels weren't freeze frames, you know?

I've been looking through their schedule. If that's a 'Showcase', then it's time to bring down the shutters on the front of the shop. :?
There's something I really like about the Sky Max ident. I think it's because the colours are similar to my favourite Sky One ident...

Why did Sky One's colour keep changing anyway? The 1995 logo was purple, the 1997 one was yellow, the 1998 one was white (on live action backgrounds, so there was no other main colour), then the next logo was orange, then they changed to light blue, which lasted the rest of the channel's life. In fact, the only long running Sky channel not to change colour since the 90s is Sky Sports, which is still red, it's main colour since 1993.
Almost... Sky Sports has been red since 1995. It was orange and yellow before that (apart from the red circle in the logo).

And the logo was red for Sky and blue for Sports at one point whereas now it's reversed and is blue for Sky and red for Sports.

Seems someone forgot to update the right side DOG used during live sports. Sky Showcase showing the WSL with a Sky One Live DOG.

Sky One lives!
They've got a week to fix that before they're showing Premier League...

Tombstone v2 was my favourite, only because the music was a little bit more racy, and the angle of the logo reveal seemed more polished. But both versions are very good.
