I think they've explicitly said there will be no correspondents based overseas - however I can't imagine they will completely ignore anything other than domestic news so would expect they'll at least have a couple of reporters covering various international stories, even if just from the UK.

The BBC is the British Broadcasting Corporation so you could very well as the same question if that was about to launch.

I personally don't know whether they'll be doing international news or not but what happens abroad often affects us here so I would be surprised if they didn't.

Well I’m not sure it’s quite the same ‘British Broadcasting Corporation’ just implies it’s a service for the UK, whereas ‘GB News’ implies an agenda that covers UK stories.

Of course some international stories will be relevant, particularly stories which involve the British governments relationships with other nations.

I doubt things like the plight of China’s Uyghur or an African famine will be very high up the agenda. That’s not a criticism or political point, that’s just an impression based on everything that’s been said about this channel so far by those behind it.

I agree. I think the point is the BBC was one of the first to break the story. Obviously the remit of GB News is not going to be that wide ranging. I’m sure they’ll be some coverage of international stories along those lines during their news updates but can’t see them ever being the focus of their opinion lead shows.
