Sky News: 2021 Refresh
NBC News has an exclusive interview with Vladimir Putin which they'll be airing across their various shows and platforms on Monday. Being a sister network, Sky News will also be able to air it. What's interesting is as Sky has been promoting the interview and showing snippets of it, the trail for it references both NBC and Sky:

Interesting referencing NBC, MSNBC and NBCNews.com, of course Sky News can be watched in America, but those three seem to have the priority when read out, could be the terms of it being an NBC exclusive, but being shared with Sky News.

Hasn't been mentioned, but as Kay is still in Cornwall she did a full 'Kay Burley' show again this morning, however still starting from 7am, which meant Stephen Dixon did an hour of Sky News Breakfast at 6am in the usual weekend style.
I must say, I do think that the relaunch is a step in the right direction - the music in particular is much stronger than the previous theme - but for me, the 2003 package won't ever be beaten - the original version of the theme we now all know and love, and in my opinion, the best. In many respects. I'd love to see Sky News go back to that style of presentation. No gimmicks (well, I suppose the newswall was something of a gimmick at the time), no massaging presenters' egos, no faffing about - just breaking news, with two presenters at a desk, morning, noon and night. I do think they've gone too far in trying to 'de-glam' their output - no need to out-BBC the BBC. In many ways I think that mid-2000s era was Sky News at its purest.

Exactly. Sky will have clips in advance, and can create packages from it, but nothing can be played out until it airs on NBC/MSNBC. Similar with social and website copy - nbcnews.com publishes it which then means news.sky.com can publish it immediately afterwards.

London Live were using DSLR's for OB's when they launched.

You can do a live with anything as long as you can get the signal into something which sends it back to base.
How come they can’t just plonk a sky news dog over uk one without the big white box for the international feed?
Needs to cover the clock as international feed

I’m aware of that but why can’t they just have a sky news logo with a white box that says .com where the time would be.

I wonder why not cover the UK BST clock with the GMT/UTC clock?

Presumably it introduces another live element that doesn’t need to be there/complicates things a bit more. Plus it would probably create confusion as to what time it actually is, especially if you were in the UK and took a quick glance. It probably helps differentiate the feeds too
Interesting how Mark Austin is on air on a Sunday evening... just saying...
