Sounds like there is only going to be 3 shows, Bullseye, Strike It Lucky and Child’s Play.

There is still a civilian episode each of Play Your Cards Right and Take Your Pick left from the last series (plus an unknown episode which I assume is an Xmas special).

So tag those 2 on to the 3, plus a few celebrity specials (which might be some of the other shows) and you’ve got a full series.

Re Walk the Line, the first 2 recordings are now showing on Applause Store for 11th & 14th November.

The original press release said those two episodes were going to be held over until the Autumn, so they could air them over the 2 week gap they have between The Cube finishing and I’m A Celebrity starting.

In fact for a long time I misremembered Small Talk as being called Child's Play.

I guess the same could've been said about Family Fortunes being sacrificed against SCD, but they've got to show something & a gameshow in the grand scheme of things is probably one of the cheapest original commissions.

Perhaps if ITV made more of an effort on Saturday then less people would be bothered about Strictly on Sunday, giving a new show in that slot a chance? But because they don't, it won't and Sitting On A Fortune will probably tank.

They can't win with you though - or indeed the audience at large. Don't make an effort and they're deemed not to be making an effort. Make an effort and they're deemed to be on a hiding to nothing against Strictly.

One thing I will say with Sitting on a Fortune is they'd probably be better scheduling it at 6.30pm as there is a significant proportion of the Countryfile/Strictly audience with absolutely no interest in Doctor Who. The problem then is what to fill 7.30pm with.

Could possibly just do a direct switch with the news and run that at 7.30pm. Which would be poor against Strictly but there's definitely an audience for the taking against Doctor Who.

One of the difficulties with working around Strictly on Saturday nights is that unlike other big shows it doesn't stick to one timeslot. I know that's partially due to the changing length of the show, but even then, this week it runs 7.10-8.55pm, so ITV shifted Moneyball to 6.30pm to protect it. But then next week Strictly moves to 6.45-8.10pm, so really they'd be better next week with Moneyball at 8.30pm, but it would be a bit ridiculous to be moving shows around like that every week based on the whims of Strictly's scheduling. It makes it a lot more difficult compared to when BBC1 are scheduling against ITV's big hitters, which normally stick to a consistent slot for the series.

Not really considering historically a couple of million less people watch the results show so there are more potential viewers out there.

Well after one game of Moneyball you can see why it's sat on the shelf for a while! The format will get dull very quickly...no excitement or tension at all. Questions far too easy as well.
